John Owen Jones is curretnly playing the Phantom of the Opera on the UK Tour of the show.


He took a few minutes out of his busy schedule to have Tea With Wilma.





How would you describe yourself in 5 words or less?

Gergarious. Exacting. Honest. Annoying. Funny


Do you have any pre-show rituals?

I listen to heavy metal/hard rock.


Can you tell us about the last time something went wrong on stage?

I was set on fire by a stray pyro. Such fun!!


What’s your favourite song in this show?

Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again or Prima Donna


Apart from the show you are in, what current show in London’s West End would you love to work on?

Sweeney Todd


What West End show would you like to see make a comeback and why?

City of Angels. (Two great roles in it for me!)


What was the last West End show you saw (apart from the one you are in) and what did you think of it?

Matilda. It lived up to the hype. Superb!


What’s your favourite West End musical song of all time?

Probably Bring Him Home. (of course!)
