Coming soon to the London Palladium

After a successful opening on Broadway, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s latest venture School of Rock – The Musical is to open at the London Palladium in autumn 2016. Based on the hit 2003 film starring Jack Black, School of Rock follows wannabe rock star Dewey Finn as he poses as substitute teacher at Horace Green. Discovering that he is surrounded by talented child-musicians, he decides to form his own band – the School of Rock. Featuring revamped songs from the original film such as ‘Teacher’s Pet’, the musical includes a barrage of new rock-inspired songs with music by Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Glenn Slater, such as ‘Stick it to the Man’ and ‘You’re in the Band’. With a book by Downton Abbey’s Julian Fellowes and direction by Laurence Connor, this is a musical reminiscent of the fun and vigour of Matilda, showcasing some extremely talented youngsters. School of Rock – The Musical is fast becoming the most anticipated West End transfer of 2016.

Tickets for the London, West End production of School of Rock will be on sale soon.
