Here are some of the theatre related YouTube videos that i’ve been watching this week.

Tweet and Facebook me your favourites and if I love them I might include them in my next round-up!

KIERAN BROWN – Ring Them Bells (Liza with a “Z”)

Live at the Phantom of the Opera MAD Trust Cabaret Series 2016. Featuring none other than me on backing bells!

Thomas Sutcliffe – Quiet (Matilda the Musical)

With the recent announcement of West End Switched Off returning to the St James Theatre on 20 March 2016, I have been rewatching some of the videos that have been filmed at previous shows.

Here is Thomas Sutcliffe performing ‘Quiet’ from Tim Minchin’s “Matilda,” at the West End Switched Off Album Launch night at the St. James Studio on 27th April 2014. He took this song that was written from the perspective of a child and sang it from the perspective of a boy with autism.

Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again – Rob Houchen

Rob Houchen (Les Miserables) performs ‘Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again’ from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Phantom of the Opera’ at West End Switched Off at the St. James Studio on 24th May 2015. It’s always fun to hear a man singing a song usually sung by a woman (and vice versa) and this is a truely beautiful rendition both musical and vocally.

Your Tunes Never Die/Part Time Christine

Written by Garry Lake and performed by Lizzy Connoly, Scott Garnham, Jodie Jacobs, Simon Bailey at the 2016 production of Jest End at Waterloo East Theatre. This is a tongue in cheek rendition of the Phantom song above, poking fun at the show and theatre in general. Anyone who loves West End theatre will love this show and this is one of the best songs in it.
