Cassidy Janson

Cassidy Janson starred alongside Neil Patrick Harris in ‘Tick, Tick…Boom!’ At the Menier Chocolate Factory in 2005 before joining the Original London Cast of ‘Wicked the Musical‘ in 2006 as part of the ensemble. She was the promoted to the role of Standby Elphaba when Idina Menzel finished her opening stint and Kerry Ellis took on the role full time.

Cassidy then went on to join the final West End cast of ‘Avenue Q‘ as Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut

Other show Cassidy has been a part of over the years include ‘Lend Me A Tenor’, ‘Company’, ‘Rooms: A Rock Romance’, ‘Blood Wedding‘, ‘Candide‘ and ‘Dessa Rose’.

In November 2015, she took over the role of Carole King in the London production of ‘Beautiful the Musical’ and remained in the role until the show closed in the summer of 2017.

In 2018 and 2019, Cassidy joined productions of both ‘Chess’ and ‘Man of La Mancha’ at the London Coliseum for limited runs.

Most recently, Cassidy Janson can be seen at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre playing Anne Hathaway in the 90’s musical ‘& Juliet’ which she won the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress In A Musical.

Cassidy has released two albums. One called ‘Leading Ladies’ with Beverley Knight and Amber Riley – ‘Songs From The Stage’ and her own debut album in 2019, featuring self-penned songs.
