What’s on at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year?

It’s August and that means one thing and one thing only, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival has begun!

This year I have interviewed more than 200 acts who are performing at the festival this month. Check them all out in the Interviews section of the website if you’re stuck for what to see. More interviews still to come in the next weeks!

Ari Shaffir talks about growing up as an Orthodox Jew and ‘escaping’ in his 20’s and Ashley Blaker – the UK’s only strictly orthodox Jewish comedian both look like a hoot!

Fans of the kids TV show Blue Peter can reminisce with two shows this year! VERY BLUE PETER and ONCE SEEN ON BLUE PETER.

There are homages to Michael BarrymoreBonjoviSpice Girls, Tina T’urner and even Frank Sinatra at the festival this year and lots of animals, from flamingoes and ant-eaters, to Dolphins, a T-Rex called Tracy, a monster with a chat show Steve (Mr. Thing) and Sonic the Hedgehog!

If you’ve ever wanted to know HOW TO BE AMAZINGLY HAPPY!, you can find out and there is even a vegetable based feud to explore!

Sex is always a hot topic for discussion at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This year, Eli Matthewson talks about the best brands of lube to use and Brett Goldstein talks about love, sex, porn and addiction.

Ian Stroughair brings A BRIEF HISTORY OF DRAG and Barry Church-Woods celebrates the music of the Andrews Sisters.

PIG CIRCUS clowns around and UniverSoul Circus bring Hip-Hop Under the Big Top to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. You can even see Damien Warren-Smith doing acrobatics in a g-string! Now where else can you see that but at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

These are just a few of the shows I have spoken to this year and sound like they could be worth a watch. Let me know if you have seen any of them or if you have any other top recommendations!
