Is Delfont Mackintosh Theatre ‘DMT+ Membership’ worth paying for?
DMT+ membership gives you access to special offers and discounts at all Delfont Mackintosh Theatres (Gielgud, Noel Coward, Novello, Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, Sondheim, Victoria Palace, Wyndham’s).
For £35 per year, you receive exclusive benefits including no online booking fees across all shows (usually £2.50 on every ticket purchased), a free ticket exchange service and early access to tickets across Delfont Mackintosh Theatres.
Your DMT+ membership card also entitles you to a 10% discount at all Delfont Mackintosh bars which can make a real difference if you like a couple of drinks when you go to the theatre.
When you first sign up as a DMT+ member you are also sent two complimentary drinks and two complimentary programme vouchers when you first sign up, worth up to £19.
Other benefits include Exclusive Events including Backstage Tours and Pre and Post-Show Talks, a dedicated booking line and Complimentary Cloakroom Facilities.
So is it worth the money?
Well when you consider the drinks and programmes vouchers you receive when joining are worth £19 alone, you only need to save another £16 in twelve months to break even. And when you’re saving £2.50 booking fee on every ticket purchased, you only need to buy six tickets in a year to make your money back.
For someone like me who goes to the theatre quite a bit, this membership is 100% beneficial. And for someone who also likes a drink or two, the 10% bar discount is even better. DMT Theatre bars are some of the cheapest in the West End anyway but you can get a £20 bottle of wine for just £18 with your membership card. You can pay that just for one glass in some London bars!
DMT+ Membership may not be suitable for everyone. Those who do not go to the theatre regularly in London may not find they save money but if you are fans of some of the amazing shows below like Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera, then you can really make some big savings with this membership.
