Harry Potter and the cursed child is a play based on an original story by J.K Rowling, Jack Thorn and John Tiffany and is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. It is set 19 years after the last of the Potter adventures, The Deathly Hallows and shows the adult Harry coping with both his past life and his present, with the pressures of fatherhood weighing heavy on his shoulders. Featuring a cast of over 30, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is one play presented in two parts. Both parts are intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening), or on two consecutive evenings.
