Strand Palace Hotel (Charing Cross)

The Strand Palace Hotel is somewhere I stay quite often when I am in London. Located on The Strand, a few minutes walk from Charing Cross Station, it is well situated for theatre’s in the West End and is opposite The Savoy Theatre and very close to The Lyceum. St Martin’s Lane is also within walking distance.

There are a selection of bars which are fairly reasonably priced (compared to some West End hotels) and there is a Carvary/Grill restaurant and also a Joe Allen New York Brasserie.

Rooms start at around £140 per night which is very reasonable for this location and there can often be deals found online if you are willing to wait until the last minute to book. Booking direct with the hotel often gives you a voucher to use for £15 off at the bar which can come in very useful.

The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and I find they offer everything I need for a few days when staying in London. I haver many friends and family who use the Strand Palace Hotel as their preferred play to stay when visiting London as it provides comfort, class and comes at a very reasonable price.
