Kristin Chenoweth visits the Theatre Cafe
This week Broadway (Wicked) and American TV star (The West Wing/Pushing Daisies) Kristin Chenoweth was in London for a special one-off concert at the London Palladium. On Wednesday, after lunch with Elaine Paige and before going to watch the London production of Wicked (for which she originated the role of Glinda on Broadway in 2003), Kristin stopped off at London’s Stagey Theatre Cafe on Shaftesbury Avenue to meet some of her fans and to do a bit of a Q&A.
Arriving in sun glasses and the most fabulous thigh high silver sparkly boots, Kristin was shocked when she saw the queue of people waiting for her and said “I thought you were all waiting for that restaurant next door!”. Kristin looked at the theatre merchandise around the cafe and joked when picking up a Wicked paper cup that she always thought Elphaba looked like a flying Nunn!
I got to be at the forefront of all the action, helping to do some filming at the event (and even managed to grab a cheeky selfie for myself). Check out all the action in the video below.
