Mango Tree

Mango Tree, situated in the heart of Belgravia, close to Buckingham Palace and Victoria Station is a wonderful choice for a special night out. If you are heading to see shows like Billy Elliot or Wicked and want to have a meal that is that extra bit special, Mango Tree is definitely the place to go.

The warm, friendly dining room gives your party enough room to feel like you’re not sitting on top of other diners but gives attentive service with a smile that won’t leave you waiting to catch someone’s attention if you need something.

With an eclectic a la carte menu of Thai classics, there is something here for everyone. My guest and I enjoyed the Mango Tree Satay Sticks (grilled skewers of marinated beef, chicken, seafood or a combination of all three), served with peanut sauce, and Prawn Popcorn (deep fried roak shrimp marinated with thai dried spices, served with 3 flavour sauce on a bed of cucumber) to start, moo nam pueng  (crispy deep-fried pork belly, served with thai-style mixed pickled vegetables and sweet chilli sauce) and gaeng phed ped yang pon la mai (red curry with roasted duck, grapes, pineapple and cherry tomatoes, served in a pineapple bowl – as seen on bbc1’s masterchef). For desert a sang ka ya mamuang (mango creme brulee with pistachio biscotti) and washed down with two of the most beautiful cocktails I have ever seen. mango colada (havana club 7 years rum, dash amaretto, fresh pineapple, banana, fresh mango juice, pineapple juice, coconut cream, double cream, served in a fresh pineapple bow) and funky coco (malibu rum, cocomax(natural fresh thai coconut water lychee liqueur and lychee juice).

Mango Tree offers an indulgent menu and huge selection of wines and cocktails ranging in price. Their pre-theatre dining menu offers luxurious food and surroundings at very affordable prices so why not check it out. Just writing this review is making me want to go back for more!
