Currently delighting West End audiences and critics alike with her portrayal of Eva Peron in Evita, Emma Hatton brings her extraordinary voice to Pizza Express Live in Birmingham and Holborn on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd October respectively.
Leading lady Emma is known by thousands for her stage roles, which include Elphaba in Wicked, Scaramouche in We Will Rock You and many others. She has recently appeared on The Andrew Marr Show, with Elaine Paige and on Woman’s Hour for Radio 4.
Alongside her extensive theatre credits, Emma is rapidly gaining a huge following for her intimate cabaret work showcasing her natural affinity for jazz and blues. Emma’s debut EP, Merry Christmas, Darling, reached Number 1 in the iTunes jazz chart and featured a duet with the brilliant Anthony Strong. The duo is currently working on her second EP, for release early next year. Meanwhile, Emma’s track Mad About the Boy is the most downloaded on the London Gay Big Band’s album Brave, recorded at Abbey Road.
Emma has enjoyed sold out solo shows at the Jazz Café, Crazy Coqs, the Pheasantry and Kettners and didn’t hesitate when invited by Pizza Express Live to perform for the first time in Birmingham and at their new flagship venue in Holborn. Of the evenings, which promise something for everyone, Emma says ““I am so looking forward to performing at Pizza Express Live again! My brilliant band and I have put together a set list of some of our favourite soul, blues and country music with a hint of musical theatre for good measure.”
