Hamilton, the Broadway smash hit musical, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, has been playing to sell out crowds at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre, since December 2017, with people having to book tickets sometimes a year in advance in order to secure tickets to see the hugely anticipated, West End transfer.
40,000 new tickets have recently gone on sale for 2-28 September 2019 and for once, tickets don’t appear to have been snapped up in one huge swoop and there are still lots of very reasonably priced tickets available (from just £37.50).
Alexander Hamilton made his way to America at the age of 19 and was a dedicated supporter of American Independence. Alongside Aaron Burr and three other revolutionaries John Laurens, Marquis de Lafayette and Hercules Mulligan, the men dreamed of laying down their lives for their political cause. Working alongside George Washington, Hamilton helped The Continental Army become victorious and America was freed from the British and King George. But whilst Hamilton’s political future was bright, his personal reputation was ruined by scandal.
So if you’ve not managed to see Hamilton yet, or if you want to go back and see it again, now is the time to book to avoid having to rely on ticket lotteries and ticket returns in order to secure tickets at a reasonable price.
