Following the success of Fantastic Mr Fox, The Twits and The Witches, Curve is delighted to announce a new Made At Curve co-production of Roald Dahl’s George’s Marvellous Medicine for Christmas 2017.
This frothbugglingly fun show will run in Curve’s 300-seat Studio from Sat 9 Dec – Sun 14 Jan, opposite the already announced Scrooge in the 900-seat Theatre. George’s Marvellous Medicine goes on priority sale to Curve Members and Groups on Mon 20 Mar, and on general sale from Fri 24 Mar alongside the theatre’s Summer season, which is also unveiled today.
Curve’s latest co-production with Rose Theatre Kingston promises to be yet another hugely entertaining stage adaptation, busting with growing grannies, feathery farm animals and bags of phizz-whizzing fun.
Most grandmothers are lovely, kind, helpful old ladies. Not George’s Grandmother. George’s Grandmother likes to gobble up slugs and bugs, and is always telling George what to do. But one day, when his parents leave him along with the grizzly old grunion, George takes his chance and sets about creating a brand new medicine to cure her of her cruelty. Little does he know that his perilous potion will be the start of a rather marvellous adventure.
George’s Marvellous Medicine plays at Curve Leicester Sat 9 Dec 2017 – Sun 14 Jan 2018 www.curveonline.co.uk
