‘Les Misérables – The Staged Concert’ will return to the West End this Christmas

Last night, after a special musical theatre performance on the live final of Britain’s Got Talent, by the casts of Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera and Mary Poppins, Producer Cameron Mackintosh announced that Les Misérables – The Staged Concert will return to London for a six-week limited run at the Sondheim Theatre from 5 December 2020.

The concert performance (which played in Summer 2019 at the Gielgud Theatre) will once again star Michael Ball, Alfie Boe, Carrie Hope Fletcher and Matt Lucas, with a company of over 50 people.

REVIEW: Les Miserables The Staged Concert (Gielgud Theatre – November 2019) ★★★★

Tickets go on sale Wednesday 14th October 2020.

Ticket prices are yet to be announced but I hope some consideration into the current economic climate has been taken into account to ensure theatre goers who are out of work due to Covid-19 are still able to afford to attend.

Theatre should be accessible to everyone and right now we should be doing all we can to help each other to get things back to the way they were as quickly as possible. It was never acceptable for shows to charge over £200 for a ticket to some West End shows and now more than ever that needs to be looked at by Producers so theatre can be for everyone and not just the wealthy.
