REVIEW: ‘A Perfect Christmas (a festive musical revue)’ at the Cockpit Theatre

‘A Perfect Christmas (a festive musical revue)’ is playing at the Cockpit Theatre this Christmas and if you want to get in the mood for the big day this is a show you do not want to miss.

Performed in the round, centre stage sits a Christmas tree, surrounded by presents. The four performers (Tim McArthur, Sarah Dearlove, Jo Wickham and Topsie Redfern sit around the tree in their Christmas pyjamas, sharing stories about Christmases growing up as a reminder of how exciting Christmas is for children and the joy adults feel seeing their faces.

This perfectly put together musical review includes all your favourite Christmas songs, played on piano by Ben Papworth (also in his pyjamas) who serves as a fifth cast member.

‘A Perfect Christmas (a festive musical revue)’ gives you all the feels and has really got me excited for Christmas.

An easy five stars from me, it was perfect and if you don’t book your tickets to see it today then you’re missing out on a real treat.
