REVIEW: ANNA & HELEN: STUCK IN A RAT (Vaults Festival) ★★★★★

Anna O’Grady and Helen Cripps brought their musical comedy show ‘Stuck In A Rat‘ to London’s Vaults Festival last week and gave audiences a packed out show that rivals the likes of Flo and Joan.

To say that this is their debut show is impressive as the show comes across extremely well polished and the hour long performance whizzes by with songs played on various instruments by the multi-skilled duo.

Alongside the music are various skits and stories told by two people who have very different levels of energy and enthusiasm. Anna bounces around the stage like an over excited puppy, whist Helen has a dead-pan expression and makes great eye-rolling faces at Anna’s remarks.

Anna and Helen have a great rapport and bounce off of each other perfectly whilst talking about how in life we sometimes all get ‘stuck in a rat’ and how to pull ourselves out of it. I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for future shows by this comedy duo. If this is what they can achieve with their debut then I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
