In the back streets of London’s Soho, tucked away just behind Old Compton Street, is a new 165 seat (accessible) theatre, bar and restaurant – The Boulevard Theatre.

As well as producing full-length productions of shows like the London premiere of The Sunset Limited (currently playing until 29 February 2020), The Boulevard Theatre hosts weekly comedy, jazz and cabaret nights.

Kicking off the series of late night cabaret shows ‘Finale’ was West End performer Kieran Brown (The Phantom of the Opera, Titanic, Wicked) who treated the two tier theatre to an intimate, acoustic performance of Musical Theatre songs from some of his favourite shows like Taboo, Love Never Dies, Metropolis and The Pirate Queen.

Coming up this week (Thursday 27 February) you will find Sabrina Aloueche (Les Miserables, We Will Rock You) followed on 5 March by Laura Pitt-Pulford (Falsettos, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, The Light Princess). Finally on 12 March – Divalution present their own late-night show.

This was my first visit to The Boulevard Theatre but it certainly won’t be my last. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch or pre-theatre dining, this venue offers it all in bright and airy surroundings. Why not pop in for a drink or two and see a late night cabaret whilst you’re there!
