REVIEW: I WISH MY LIFE WERE LIKE A MUSICAL (Underbelly, Bristro Square) ★★★★★

I Wish My Life Were Like A Musical is a revue of the songs by Alexander Bermange – a well-known musical theatre composer, who has appeared numerous times on Radio 4 and is also the resident musical director of the West End Wilma Awards.

I Wish My Were Was Like A Musical brings together 4 West End performers to present Alexander’s songs which affectionately parody and satirise the life of a West End hoofer. We are taken though all aspects of a performers life, from terrible auditions to making it as a star and ultimately beconing a Diva.

Alexander’s writing is very catchy and incredibly witty; it’s clear a lot of research has gone into the lyrics and this certainly pays off with plenty of laughs. The strong writing is supported by a strong cast, Alexander himself MDing on the keys.

This show is selling out every night so make sure you get along to see it if you can !!
