Alexander Bermange‘s musical cabaret I Wish That My Life Were Like A Musical returns to Live at Zedel after a smash hit run earlier this year. The musical comedy see’s Wicked star Suzie Mathers return to the show, along with new cast members Madalena Alberto, Cedric Neal and Lucas Rush.
This award nominated, musical comedy cabaret, takes a comical look at life backstage in the world of theatre, staring with ‘The Opening Number’ and going on to talk about the audition process, being a stand-by, performing a guest spot at other people’s concerts and two highlights of the show ‘When A Fan Loves a Woman’ and ‘The Diva’s In The House’.
The cast all work well together, laughing and joking as they introduce each song with dialogue that has been cleverly written to weave these songs together into a story. Each performer has a chance to stand out in the show and truly offers something different to the show making them a great mix of people. Accompanied on piano by the man himself, Alexander Bermange, I Wish That My Life Were Like A Musical is a wonderful romp through the backstage antics of a life in theatre.
