REVIEW: James Meunier From The Heart EP ★★★★★

Is it possible to fall in love with someone, just based on hearing their voice? Listening to the new EP by actor James Meunier today, I’m pretty sure it happened.

James is a musical theatre singer and actor – currently appearing in the UK Tour of Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s ‘Sunset Boulevard’. He trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London and has since appeared in a variety of theatre productions in the UK and internationally. His concert work includes touring with Contempo Productions Ltd for the classical crossover act ‘Ancora’, singing with Elton John in concert at the Royal Albert Hall and performing for the Classical Roadshow with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.’

In just six songs, James manages to show off his voice and vocal ability perfectly. From Les Miserables’s Bring Him Home, to West Side Story’s Maria. Love Never Dies’s Til’ I Hear You Sing and of course Sunset Boulevard from Sunset Boulevard which James is currently on tour around the UK with. There is also a cover of John Farnham’s song Burn For You which is very special (and potentially better than the original song). Arranged, Produced and Musically Directed by Joe Davidson and Auburn Jam Records.

I’d not heard the name James Meunier until recently but it is certainly a name on my radar now. Check out the EP From The Heart. You won’t be disappointed.
