The Singers Soirée charity concert, in aid of Shooting Star Chase was held last night at Battersea Barge to a sold out audience who came to support both professional singers and those still in training perform for a wonderful cause.
Shooting Star Chase is a local children’s hospice who help make every day count for those with life-limiting conditions and their families.
MD’d by Kris Rawlinson (Streets) the night saw stand out performances from West End stars including Ian Stroughair (Rent In Concert), Jordan Lee Davies (The Voice) and some of the gang from the recent new musical Geek! Lauren Osborn, Harry Cooper Miller, David Scotland and Ciaran O’Driscoll.
Ian Stroughair performed a duet Rents ‘I’ll Cover You’ with Mountview graduate Richard Carson whilst Jordan Lee Davies took on Celine Dions ‘All Coming Back To Me Now’ with the incredible GSA student Jodie Steele.
Other memorable performances came from Mitchell Lathbury and Sarah Comerford, Amy Tanner and John Sandberg and Ben Sell.
All the acts were incredible and I loved the show for giving new talent an opportunity to be in the spotlight and singer with some well established performers who generously donated their time.
A lovely night for a great cause, thought up and produced by the wonderful Jamie Chapman Dixon.
The next Singers Soirée is August 13th and so make sure you go along!
