Wilma’s YouTube Picks

I’ve been scrolling through my YouTube viewing history to see what i’ve been watching this week.

Take a look at the videos below and let me know on Twitter and Facebook what videos you’ve been loving in the past week or so!

Check out these Tracy Turnblad hopefuls at the casting for the upcoming television production of Hairspray Live talking about what the show means to them and even singing a song or two!

Pixie Lott sings Moon River at the launch of Breakfast At Tiffany’s which opens at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 30 June 2016

Not really theatre related but I can’t believe how many of these types of videos I am seeing on YouTube lately. Children filming themselves pretending to call the phone numbers of famous celebrities . In this video a little girl calls Taylor Swift’s agent, asks to speak to her and would you believe it, gets connected to Taylor’s phone! Why did she get put through? Because she wanted to talk to her about a very important music video proposal! Like an agent would just put them through! Plus the woman on the phone sounds nothing like Tay Tay. Good effort little girl but if you’re going to V-Log try doing something a bit more appropriate.

The incredible Betty Buckley singing With One Look from Sunset Boulevard on the Rosie O’Donnell show back in 1996 when she played Norma Desmond on Broadway.

The hilarious YouTube v-logger Miranda Sings is returning to Europe this summer to delight London audiences at the Indigo at the O2. I love her brilliant videos and am looking forward to seeing her back in London. Here is her recent tour announcement.

Sophie Linder-Lee is mostly widely known for being the Stand By for Glinda at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Since leaving the show, she has put on her own cabaret show at Above The Arts. Here is a video of her singing ‘The Witches Standby’ (to the tune of ‘The Wizard and I’)
